About the Book
A Principal’s View
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” -Aristotle
Our schools sit atop of a cliff waiting to tumble over. In actuality, that might happen any day now! And if this travesty isn’t frightening enough, consider that the mental health of more than 5 million children goes neglected daily. We must then take into account that many of our boys and girls are reading 2-3 grade levels behind their peers. These two points alone are enough to tear at the core of any school community. They leave us wondering if any teaching and learning are occurring at the various school sites.
Unfortunately, parents and community stakeholders are primarily uninformed about what happens in schools today.
”A Principal’s View,” the book offers a rare and authentic glimpse of what happens at some campuses across the globe. The author, in a somewhat in your face kind of way, presents the picture of a school that no one wants to acknowledge exists. He shares some uncomfortable truths that are real, raw, and relevant. He doesn’t merely cite the problems, but he offers a common-sense approach to finding a resolution to help our children succeed!
